1. We are pleased to announce that Edward Owen-Davies our Chairman has recently taken over the Chair of the North Wales & Cheshire branch of the Hotel, Catering & International Mangement Association (HCIMA). He hopes to encourage more members to take an active role in the events of the branch, and to recruit new members. He has set up a facility to send quarterly newsletters to branch members and looks forward to meeting them all in due course. The AGM will be held at the Imperial Hotel, Llandudo at 7.00pm 18 May 2006.

2. With our associates at Tourism Training Forum for Wales we have set up a series of development workshops for those hospitality businesses interested in working towards the Investors in People and Hospitality Assured standards, please call us if you would like to attend any of these events, which will be held regionally and are free, all you spend is your commitment to business improvement.

3. There have been many significant changes in the set up of the Public Sector working in Welsh tourism with the merger of the Wales Tourist Board into the Welsh Assembly Government. We would be pleased to hear your views or observations, please e-mail or write to us.

4. We are members of the Tourism Training Forum for Wales (TTFW) and will be attending their AGM at The Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod Wells on the 9 May 2006. Many training providers in Wales will be awarded with Exemplar Best Practice Status at a special awards lunch.
